BrightSol builds, owns, and invests in companies across the sectors of everyday life: health, food, housing, money, media, and the technology behind them. We operate the ones we control and back the ones we believe in, and we hold them for decades.
One company, many businesses, built to last beyond any one of us.
Most holding companies buy to sell. We buy to keep. That single difference shapes how we pick a business, how we treat the people in it, and how patient we are with what comes next.
BrightSol began in 2022 with one business and a simple idea: build and back good companies, stay close to them, and let them compound over a long time. Today that idea spans eight companies in eight sectors, connected by one set of beliefs.
The businesses look nothing alike. A wellness practice and a restaurant chain share no customers. What they share is a long-term partner who plans to be here in twenty years.
We hold businesses across the parts of life people return to every day. Each is run by its own team, supported by a shared operating system.
BrightSol owns some of these companies outright and holds stakes in others. Company names are kept private for now, and each sector represents a business in the BrightSol portfolio.
The companies we invest in or own have nothing in common except us. These are the five things we bring to each one.
We put operators in each company and work the real problems alongside the team. We own the outcomes, not just the equity.
Most of what a company earns goes back into the company. Compounding beats extraction.
When we acquire a business, we keep the people and culture that made it worth owning. We fix what is broken and leave the rest alone.
AI and operating discipline earn their place by improving results, in the businesses where they fit.
We close on the terms we offer and do what we say. Reputation compounds like capital.

Christina Olsen built BrightSol from the ground up. Before it, she spent more than a decade in global talent acquisition, responsible for hiring over 20,000 people across 30 countries, then left to build a company of her own. She grew it to $7 million and exited.
Since then she has started and run businesses across wellness, media, food, and technology: a hypnotherapy practice, a podcast, a high-growth fast casual restaurant chain, and an AI enablement consultancy. She is a certified hypnotherapist and the creator of the Peace Response method. She hosts her own podcast, appears on many others, and speaks at industry and women's events. She runs the companies BrightSol operates the way she built her first one, from the inside.
"I have never built a company to flip it. I build to keep, and I stay."
Whether you are looking for a permanent home for what you built, or you want to build something new with us, we read every note.
